I just had phone call with a senior technical rep at Andersen and continue to get the run around. I purchased over $20K in doors and windows and one door has a split in the wood. Also, the screen does not work correctly because the screen mesh was manufactured incorrectly. I received the product shipment in the middle of the Phoenix summer so I stored the product in my garage until it cooled off in October. Andersen’s response was that since 90 days had passed it was not their problem and that I should fill the split with wood fill and paint it. The response for the screen was to unassembled the canister and re-install the mesh to factory specifications. Shouldn't it have come from the factory with factory specifications? What happened to this wonderful transferable warranty? It doesn't even have any value in year one. My installer says he can fix the issues but will charge time and materials to fix the defective product. Very disappointing.

We had a house remodel in 1999, all Andersen windows and doors. Of 16 doors and sidelights, 6 have compromised exteriors. One developed mold. Since I'm several months outside warranty, Andersen will not replace the product, only give me a discount on replacement. That would work out to over $500 per door/sidelight.

Every single window has an Anderson logo etched in the glass (which casts a logo shadow on the window sill) and embossed on the casement crank cover. Had I seen this before they were installed I would have returned them. I just spent $700,000 on a remodel and now my house is an advertisement. Demand better.

All replacement windows and doors look great and have performed flawlessly; we've had different units anywhere from 1 to 5 years.

Expensive but do a great job and clean up and came back promptly to fix one oversight. They did forget the grills one time and had to ship them later, which meant we had to drag out the stain a second time, but no big deal really. Unfortunately, they want a permit even for a replacement window now.
