Have 3 of their sliders. They have flimsy, weather stripping. So much so that after 5 years curtains blow when doors are closed. I have tried to buy weather stripping from them for replacement, that's buy, not a warranty issue. I still cannot get them to get back to me with any pricing. It has been 3 years now. Last year I had to put tape all the way around the door to keep the wind out as much as possible.

Did a great job of installing doors, the slide easy and worked great.
I expected much better durability and response from company as the doors were about twice the price as the Lowes and Home Depot. SAVE YOUR MONEY SHOP THE BOX STORES>

Have custom size sliding glass doors in our home which was built in 1989. Have had to replace all the doors within 7 years, as they all rotted out. I found that they put a piece of plywood on the bottom which cannot be sealed. We replaced them all at sevens years, with aluminum clad sliding glass doors. Now 8 years later the frames have all rotten out again. Stay away from Heartland. All the windows had to be replace in nine years. Spend the extra money get Anderson or Pella.

Price is about average for custom doors until you figure in have to replace all the doors and window every 7 - 8 years. My folks have had Anderson now for 40 years with out problems

WINDOWS INSTALLED ON NEW HOME IN 07/2006.INFORMED COMPANY ABOUT CONDENSATION ISSUE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE 1ST FROST. MID STATE MILLWORKS INFORMED ME TO OPEN THE WINDOWS FOR AN HOUR A DAY THIS WILL TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM. I DON'T THINK OPENING THE WINDOWS IN THE WINTER IS A GOOD SOLUTION. THE WINDOWS ARE 3 YEARS OLD AND THE FRAMES ARE ROTTED OUT. THE WORST WINDOWS I HAVE EVER PURCHASED. STAY AWAY FROM HEARTLAND WINDOWS IF YOU LIVE IN AN EXTREAME CLIMATE. PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND PURCHASE ANDERSON, PELLA OR MARVIN.
