Lincoln windows are garbage. DO NOT BUY THEM!!!! Our house was built in 1999. Since then, 15 windows have leaked and fogged. Each winter, 2 or 3 more fail. In the late 1990's, Lincoln made windows where the glass cannot just be replaced. The ENTIRE glass and sash must be replaced. Meaning they need to be stained and varnished as well, at added cost. I just had one fail just from being washed. They are out of warranty (Lincoln has changed the warranty since, but all they do is provide replacement glass.) On average, it costs about $500 per window to have them replaced, plus the finish work. Avoid them at all costs. They are complete junk. Lincoln should be ashamed.

Bought this home 12 years ago, with a ten year warranty. Lincoln windows throughout - maybe 60 in total under warranty. We have, in ten years time, replaced almost every window in the building. Primary problem is that the gas seal failed, some of the construction was sub-par, split wood, edges damaged, etc. Company was very difficult to work with but connected us with local outfit that wasn't all that much better in terms of customer service. Now, into 12 years, we're replacing failed Lincoln windows that themselves were replacements of failed Lincoln windows. How do these people stay in business? We are actually on our third round of replacing this horrible product, and have to replace the entire frame in order to go to a higher quality product.

First, the contractor told us we were getting Anderson replacements that had a groove on the bottom of the sash to raise the window. I was home when he took the first window out of the box. I went ballistic & my husband came home and told the guy no way was he to put these Lincoln replacements in our home. They were not even finished! Just plain wood with nail heads & sealant goo all over the windows. The guy goes ahead and installs them anyway. Oh you will love them, I guarantee, our friend the contractor says. The windows won't even close and now our entire house is left insecure. I call and call-the contractor, Lincoln, the distributor where he got them from. Turns out he didn't measure right because he was going off of Anderson measurements. We then find out he ordered the junk knowing it was not returnable. Then he comes in, stands on my furniture and also stands on a specialized quilt frame that costs over &10,000 that I TOLD him I would move. He stands on the frame and bent the bars to the machine to get to the windows and used a router to make them fit. Every window now has cracks on the bottom sash. We had the pleasure of having to seal every one of these blasted pieces of junk but in one winter we can see that they are already failing. So the contractor completely screwed us over & we have to try to save up thousands of dollars to replace every window in the house. Any body who shows up with Lincoln's as a choice will be bounced out the door. Lesson. Never hire a friend to do this kind of work. Never ever pay your friend ahead of time. Hard lesson that my hubbie learned from this costly disaster.

I have corresponded with Lincoln before-they said they will sell them to us at contractor cost last I heard-it sounds like they will only replace the glass now. We need a class action suit to recover the extensive cost of these windows.

I rebuilt my house after Katrine and was talked into them by the suppliers over Andersen windows. Being on the beach I need the strongest. After 1 year started having leaks and found that they put the wrong weather striping aroung. they sent me more, but had to put in myself. Now I have found that the seals arounsd the windows have failed and water leaks from direct, strong rains have caused substantial damage and termites. I was told they only cover for replacment. Have complaind to local rep for years but has done no good. Now have to spend alot to replace all and am going back to the 400 series with Andersen. Previous use of Andersen, never produced a problem

We purchased an 8 year old million dollar home with over 120 Lincoln windows. Most of them have rotted, and we have spent thousands of dollars replacing them. Do not buy Lincoln!!!

This builder cut corners when installing the windows in dryvit and also in the construction of our entire house. They fraudulently omitted insulation in walls and ceilings. The house is falling down around our shoulders.

I have Lincoln casement windows. Many of them have rotted out after 8 years. Some can't be opened at all as the sash has separated from the glass. The bottom sashes in many of my Lincoln windows are mere shreds of rotten wood at this time. I won't go with this company again.

I would never never buy Lincoln windows again. The only reason I went with them in the first place is for the color of the vinyl. We have replaced several now three times in 20 years. Worst windows ever and they will not stand behind them at all.

WARNING - DO NOT BUY LINCOLN. I Replaced many Lincoln windows in my home for seal failureafter 3 years. Still replacing after 7 years. Also, windows are very cold in Northeastern winters. Lincoln will not replace windows, only glass, and its up to you to have a glass company rebuild the glass into the existing sash. After 10 years, your completly on your own.

Stay away from Lincoln. Ours are 10 years old. Over 50% of our windows have broken seals, with condensation between the panes. They don't lock properly, and there's ice on the inside of the window (making me think they're not well insulated. I'm pretty sure the ones with broken seals are rotted out. Stay away from Lincoln.

First glass seal failures were at 8 years. I had to pay 600 for warranty replacemnt of 5 panels. 3 windows rotted out at 12 years. All exterior sills failed (no caulking between sill and frame) and now I have 13 more panels to replace at 15 years. My sister had similar experience, but her double hung replacements also do not fit worth a darn.
