Visually attractive and you can feel the solidity of the construction whenever you handle a sash. All windows are Marvin Ultimate Clad double-hungs.

Did a full replacement of every window in the house, installing new trim, a bay, and skylights. No damage was done to any walls during this process. The work was done on schedule. Only one glitch, which was quickly rectified.

Price Information

Our bid was not itemized. It was $34K for 9 double hungs, a large, bay, a door, and 3 skylights, and 2 basement windows. Not cheap, but competitive with an alternative bidder.

We love the quality of our new wood, double-hung windows and aluminum clad exterior/wood interior patio door. If we had it to do over again, we would have gone with aluminum clad windows instead of wood, only because we hate to paint!! The joinery on the aluminum clad was, by far, better looking than any other we checked out (Pella, Anderson, Simonton) and the total to go with all aluminum-clad windows would have been $500 more. The Simonton looked cheap to me.

Our sliding patio door is an 8 foot door. It was $1,600.00 including installation. They installed extra large moulding to give it a more substantial look. Our 42" wide x 56" tall windows were $426.00 each, installed.
