We had a new home with construction grade windows. In an effort to improve energy usage, we researched replacement windows and had decided on Anderson. The Window Pro representative told us that Simonton was the best window, particularly for the air infiltration problem that we had with the construction grade windows. This was not a minor project as it involved replacement of 23 windows. The windows were installed in April 2008. In December, when we started having cold weather, we noticed that we had air infiltration problems to the same magnitude or worse than we had with the construction grade windows--to the point that the drape would move. After having the initial company who sold us the Simonton windows come out and agree that there was a problem, it took us calling and following up to have a Simonton Rep call us back. The service technician who came out agreed there was a problem and called another service rep for ideas to try and fix the problem. They were unsuccessful. The regional field manager recently sent a letter saying that the windows meet ANSI and AAMA specifications and there is nothing more than they can do regarding the air infiltration complaint. He even went so far to say that they installed cavity plugs, which they did not do. Buyer be wary of Simonton's windows, but more importantly their guarantee and service to stand behind their product will leave disappointed to the tune of thousands of dollars.

The installers were extremely conscientious and took their time installing. Extremely neat and respectful. Very pleased with Window Pro and their service. They have continued to try to help us with our disappointment in the quality of the Simonton Windows.
