They were double hung windows. when lock you can move the both sashes up and down about 1/4" to 3/8". call company ,came out made new lower sash bigger,problem solved. But five out of eight were assembled out of square,not just a little,some almost a 1/2".Very poor quality and craftmanship.Other contractors I know say the same.Avoid these windows like the plague.If I were Anderson I would get my name off these windows.

If they were stamped "made in china" that would explain the poor craftmenship of these windows,but there not, there made here, hard to believe.
