Love my Soft-Lite Windows!
Installed by EntryPoint Exteriors of VA
One Service problem but taken care of immediately.
I paid $3999. for 10 windows...seems like a great price.

Have had countless problems including ice/condensation, air leaks, vapor between panes (on both double hung and crank outs), poor fit of slide by units. Many units replaced by Soft lite, some problems persist. Soft lite has stood behind the product, thankfully! But we are still working at resolution, have been for 6 years!

Installer team was terrible. Lack of insulation around units, caulked shut weep holes, and many other issues. Those individuals are no longer employed by company. Pitcher Perfect has worked hard to resolve all problems. Still in that process.
Paid over $20,000 for whole house installation.

Had the double pane argon windows installed in July of 2002. One of the seals on double paned window broke. I was nervous about "Lifetime Warranty." To my pleasant surprise the glass will be replaced at no charge as long as we return the glass to their store to have it re-glazed. Very nice and immediate resolution to our window trouble!

Overall I love the Softlite windows. I had all of my windows replaced 22 in all. I was worried about the price but after they were all in I believe they are worth it. The windows open easily, are easy to clean and my wife loves the ability to open both top and bottom sash at the same time. I have noticed a big savings in my utility bill. In the winter I do not feel that nasty draft as I did with the old windows. People can be standing outside of my house holding a conversation and it is not heard inside when the windows are closed. The only issue I have had is the pop out security locks to keep people from opening the window from the outside. Many of them have popped out and won't stay in when I try. I have had several replaced but the continue to pop out. I don't know where to turn to get them fixed. The installer comes each time I call but they continue to fail. I am not sure how to contact the manufacturer.

They did a great job of installation. They did not disturb us while working. Finish is great, and no mess outside of my house. They have been there if I need warranty work done.

I chose these over Gorell 5130 for the beefier sill and the reinforcement in the meeting rail. Double-pane, argon, SuperSpacer. Overall, I am very pleased with their summer performance. Have not experienced a Bluegrass winter yet. Five of my 14 windows have grids. The windows without grids rate five stars. Of the five windows (10 sashes) with grids, we sent half of the sashes back because the grids were misaligned by 1/8" or more. Of that group, three had to be returned. Awaiting the replacements. Soft-Lite subs their glass to Guardian. Soft-Lite has been very accommodating, true to the good warranty. The mfr rep says this problem is unusual. Whatever. Unqualified recommendation for the no-grid windows. They will eventually get me a set of sashes that meets or exceeds spec for grid alignment.

Outstanding in every respect. 2nd-generation family-owned business. Direct-employee crew. I'm not sure where to start, let's just I am overwhelmed with the level of communication; the owner's depth of knowledge; the product and price; the skill, professionalism, and experience of the crew; and the level of service after the sale. Absolutely one of the best home improvement experiences I have ever had. If you live in the Bluegrass, give this shop a chance to earn your business.
I ran the pricing by the pros in the Window Questions forum. For the Imperial LS, the price was neither too high, nor great. Given the grid issues mentioned above, I am all the more pleased to have this company on my side. I'm pretty sure the level of service they have provided would not be matched anywhere.

I had 13 Softlite windows put in my house to replace my old windows. Of those, all but 2 panes showed ice and condensation around the glass this winter (January 2009). This includes a large picture window, double-hung windows, single-hung windows, and sliding windows.

The installation of the windows was done very well. No problem.

Disappointed in windows, ice on the inside in winter and continue to find foreign matter between the panes (human hair, debris, etc.) Not what we bargained for. Company denies it is a quality control problem. Blames installers for any and all problems.

Left a mess inside and outside, blames the manufacturer for problems. Came to find out later that the owner only wants the sale, not stand behind their work after the check has cleared.
Far better windows at local home improvement stores than these at a far lower price.

Great windows and really makes a difference in the winter (no frost on the inside of the glass). We replaced 8 windows and were so impressed with them, we had a Softlite Bay window put in a month later by the same installer.

Very good install, on time, and cleaned up everything.
