Air leaks in and window sweats as soon as the temperature gets cold. I cover the base of the window with towels to reduce the leak. New windows should not leak like these MI windows. The ballast does not hold the window in position to lock. I must put pressure on the top and bottom then with my "third arm" close the locks. My installer put stronger ballasts on the windows which did not alleviate the problem. It is true they charge to look at their window design problems.

any of the windows on the 'weather' side of a house will leak air. i have had these windows for over 5 years and i have 5 of them that leak a lot of air where the 2 sashes meet and at the bottom corners of the lower sashes. i also have 1 which is not on the weather side of the house which leaks in the same places...a lot!! and yes, they want $250.00 to come out and if they are at fault, will fix. if not then the consumer is responsible for the charge!! i would NOT recommend these windows based on the leakage factor. 7 out of 17 windows i have leak. however, they are easy to work with for cleaning purposes and i feel secure with their locking system.

Installed 10 of these windows with excellent results. Solid product. Excellent value. Product was way more affordable than "high name-recognition" brands but had basically same specs. Save check these out before you spend a fortune somewhere else!

Installed 11 of these windows and am not having any issues. At about $200/window they have proven to be a great investment. However, a poor installer will cause a poor experience - just like with any replacement window.
$202/window - $30 each to install. I did all interior trim.

windows leak company will not come and see what the problem is unless you pay them $250
