Hi Mark -

Chill out a little - I don't think it's all that bad :)

The way I read it is the URL that you referred to is the indexed page on the NFRC server for that particular model of window. And as you may or may not have noticed, double hungs appear to be classed as vertical sliders.

It appears to me that the dual numeric listings in the column you provided indicate that the number in parentheses is the surface number the low-e coating is on. In a dual pane window there are 4 surfaces and in a triple pane there are 6. Now as for which surfaces are which, I'm at a loss also - I'm not sure if the outer surface of the outermost pane is 1 or 4/6.
