Distortion looking at angle through windows

#1 Post by Mmcghee1024 »

Hello,

So I’m wondering what I’m experiencing with my new windows is common or poor manufacturing.

I have 4, 4ft by 6ft picture windows in my living room. They are tempered, when I look through them from an angle the picture seems to be distorted/wavy. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Tempered glass in combination with Low-e can produce some distortion at off angle views.

+1. First question in these cases is always if the glass is tempered, which you've already specified as being the case. Not uncommon to see some distortion from an angle, particularly with larger pieces of glass. If you see the distortion when viewing straight on then it may be worth some additional followup with your dealer.
