Although I'm asking about a door, I thought it was really closer to a giant sliding window. I got so much helpful info here, I thought I'd try again!
I would like to replace my ancient Anderson sliding door with a fancier French Style Sliding door. I'm in MD and have the standard 6" - 6'8" door.
I know about glass now, but nothing about the mechanics of a sliding door.
Any specifics I should look for?
I got a quote on an Andersen Series 400 door, but I'm not especially crazy about all wood, or the price. I saw that Milgard had both a vinyl and fiberglass French Style slider.
Any words of wisdom about this style of door or brand recommendations?
Thanks.

Re: French Style Sliding Door
Pretty good door. Best selling item that we ever had in their line. No problems to speak of in our dealing with them.
