Simonton 9800s with grids and laminated glass.
About 4 of these windows have a curved top segment.
Includes tearout, haul away, and reinstalling all our window dressings.
I have confidence in the company and the quality of their install.
Quote is just under 23k

Awaiting a few other quotes that will probably be cheaper, but it will be apples to oranges since the windows and install quality will be different. I've done some research and other quotes I've seen posted on various sites seem cheaper, but then again my windows seem to be larger than most so it's hard to really compare.

Even if the price is fair, is it wise to spend almost 10% of the value of your home in windows? I don't plan to move anytime soon.

Also, does anyone know the STC rating of these windows with and without the laminated glass?

Thoughts on these windows in general for this price range?

Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!

Those are some large openings and Laminated glass is very expensive.

When you combine large size, laminated glass, and some shape windows, the price can get up there real quick.

10% of the value of the home is not out of range with what you can spend on windows and especially considering the ROI on new windows.

STC with and without is probably 28 without and 32-33 with. You will notice a difference in noise with the Laminated glass.
