Sunrise Vanguard, Soft-Lite Elements or OKNA 800
Re: Sunrise Vanguard, Soft-Lite Elements or OKNA 800
Looks like you guys don't think much of the Andersen's ... correct?

The Anderson is fine for what it is, however it is not in the same league as the other choices when it comes to performance... It really just depends on what your priorities are in a new window. Do you value beauty or performance more?

I would go so far as to say that the Vanguard, Okna, or Soft-Lite are as good looking as the Andersen, just not wood.
They are both plastic on the outside so the only appreciable difference is the interior material.

I'm fine with Andersen. It's their cost, sizing limitations, and lower performance that rule them out for most of the homeowners that I speak to. In my parts I see them have more of a presence in new construction/additions applications. Over the last 5-years vinyl window manufacturers have really put a heavy emphasis on making their upper-end series much more attractive.

OK ... I'm convinced. The Andersen 400 inserts are out. I'm going with one of the other 3 that we previously discussed. Now, I have to figure out which one I like best. Again, I thank everyone for their input.
