Hi, I have some Marvin Infinity fiberglass windows. I now want to install a window air conditioner but don't think I should drill the fiberglass. Is there a certain method I should follow?
any help would be appriciated

Window A/C Air Conditioner install for fiberglass window

How about a portable air conditioner that would simply sit in the room? All you would need is a venting kit for the condensed water.

Instead of putting holes in the window. Punch the AC through the wall

it can't go through the wall... it is a brick house

This question should be directed to you Infinity from Marvin installing retailer. Handles for the top sash are available as an option. Ask your Infinity from Marvin installing retailer.

You can put it through brick, you might not want to but it is doable.
The reason to screw the window into the sash and the sash into the frame is for support of the AC and security of the building. You can make stoppes for the upper and lower sash to keep the sash in place and secure the AC in the sash opening. Some one could still remove the stops from the exterior move the sash and possibly remove AC for entry.
So the location of the window may be a factor, 1st, 2 nd, or 3rd fl?
You know that for most effective AC the unit should be as high as possible, at the top of the window.

Stupid question but if you can afford Marvin Infinity, could you not afford central air. Why would you buy an window to drill holes into it? You should have left the original one in there.
FYI, once you fool with the window, the warranty is gone.....
Good Luck!

Open the bottom sash. Cut a piece of wood which is higher then the frame rail on the sill and the entire interior width of the window. This will distribute the weight of the ac over the entire sill and not the rail. Lay the wood in the sill. Now you'll need some support for the outside of the AC unit. Once that's installed, slide the unit on that wood and close the top sash down onto the top of the ac. easy peasy
