Hello - We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and widened our over the sink window to 4 feet and had a double casement put in (Jeld-Wen). I was very dissapointed by the amount of vinyl vs. glass. It felt like we gained very little glass because there was so much vinyl casing - 3 inches around the sides and 7 inches in the middle. I am going to replace this new window and would like your advice.
1. Are there casement windows with less casing/more glass? If so, what are they?
2. Would a slider be a better option in this situation? If so, which ones would you recommend? Would the Marvin Infinity or Ultimate Glider be a good choice?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

At that size, a double is difficult because of the frame spars in the middle.
A 2-Lite would work well and give you more glass.

An awning window will give you the most view and some ventilation also.

An awning would be exactly what you are looking for. A common Max width is 48", so as long as it is not more than that you should be ok. If not, a slider would cut the amount of "frame" in the center down significantly over the twin casement.
