Marvin Integrity Insert Double Hung?
I was wondering if any Marvin Integrity dealers have seen this product in person? The wood-ultrex double hung insert (has 3 1/4" frame) was just made available in December 2013? I'd appreciate any information regarding the product.

Seen it.
Looks pretty good.
Much prettier than the all Ultrex.

+1. Nice unit. Good budget minded option for a real wood interior.
Any specific questions?

Re: Marvin Integrity Insert Double Hung?
I just saw the youtube video of the Integrity rep commenting about the window's improved aesthetics. Just wondering if it's noticeable in a good way. Is the Marvin Ultimate DH Insert better looking?
Which window would you put in your home, Marvin Ultimate Double Hung Insert or Marvin Integrity Double Hung Insert, where glass options are the same (double pane, argon)?

Although i am not a fan of wood windows due to lackluster performance numbers, specifically high air leakage numbers as well as alot of maintenance. I would hands down choose the Ultimate if given the choice.

I like all three big three wood windows.
As previously stated I wish they had better AI standards and at least a 20 year warranty against rot.
If only the world was according to theWindowNerd.

While the Marvin Ultimate is a very nice window, I rather like the new Infinity wood/ultrex. Both products are definitely worth considering for homeowners who want a real wood interior. Fit and finish wise, the Ultimate is, well, the ultimate, but it will also probably be a bit more expensive than the new Integrity insert.

I like the Ultimate as well but there is no reality in which it will be near the price of the Integrity.
The Integrity is a solid unit for the money.

Re: Marvin Integrity Insert Double Hung?
Would any of the Marvin dealers on this board know if the Integrity DH insert is available for order now?
I called a local dealer and he claims it's only available to new construction?!?
Makes no sense as this product is aimed at the renovation market.

Thanks for the honesty.
I'm guessing this dealer has more incentive to sell me a higher priced product to increase his cut? ( Ultimate DH Insert)
I guess I will call Integrity HQ tomorrow just to verify the availability.

I would check. Could be a simple oversight.

Re: Marvin Integrity Insert Double Hung?
OK, so this is getting shadier by the minute.
I verified with Marvin corporate that the Integrity DH Insert is available for fulfillment.
So the dealer emailed me back and said he can price out the quote to use the Integrity DH Insert instead of the Ultimate Insert. He came back and told me I would only be saving $1,900 over the 12 DH windows!?!?
I decided to contact a different dealer and provided just the largest window size, they priced out the largest DH window for me at $621. So even using that price for the larger size across all 12 windows, this different dealer is charging over $7000 less.
What could be causing this huge discrepancy in pricing? Or is it I'm just dealing with a dealer (1st one) that is keeping a very high price margin for profit?

Dealer #2 pricing sounds low to be honest so I would make sure the are checked out.
Dealer #1 sounds incompetent, shady, or both.

Re: Marvin Integrity Insert Double Hung?
There are too many things that could be at play here to say for certain. Could be failure to compare apples to apples in some way, installation aspects, etc, vastly different business model and company size, or perhaps something more nefarious by one party... Definitely worth deeper investigation... I can say though that if that $621 price is installed, that is alarming low. Like below-cost low.
