Replacement window question

#1 Post by axel »

We have a cracked window panel that needs to be replaced.

Picture window
51.5x48
grid
white

Very easy to take off the trim and just pop out the window. But I am having trouble finding the manufacturer / specs for replacement window.

stickers says:

NAMI
NFRC 100/200
Code: IAP
RATING: NFRC
SERIES: WELD II 4000 DH
MST: 4060

NFRC
IAP-1-014
99-M

Any leads to source this window or a viable replacement would be much appreciated.

None of those numbers are necessarily a serial number.

Can you post a picture? Worst case scenario, you should be able to get a glazier to replace the glass.

I am in the market for windows. I am from Lancaster County, PA and have no problem driving a few+ hours for a good deal. I will be installing the windows myself.

I did try that get a quote button a few days ago and haven't heard anything from anyone.

Installing yourself can void a warranty and many dealers of the higher end window brands dont sell directly to homeowners without them doing the install. It has caused far too many issues in the past.

I can see why they do that but I for sure won't be buying a window that has to be installed by a dealer. I'll find the best window I can get that I can install myself. I know I can get soft-lite, paradigm or simonton windows, just trying to do more research on what is the best bang for the buck.

Easy choice. Go with soft lite.

What line of Soft-lite should I be looking at? I was quotes $229 for Soft-Lite Barrington double hung but I think Barrington is their entry level and i've heard many times people say don't get the entry level but again i am not sure and want to get a good window.

If you are going to remain within the Soft-Lite series, stay with the Soft-Lite Elements or the Imperial LS.

I will be installing the windows myself and my budget is $300 per window. I know was quoted $229 for Soft-Lite Barrington, around $250 for Simonton 5500 but I am sure Soft-Lite Elements or Imperial LS will be way above $300.

Curious what is wrong with the other lines from Soft-Lite? I don't necessarily need the best window, just a good quality average window.
