Pella Windows Estimate

Pella local sales person provided the following quote -

I'm based out of Austin - Should I go for Vinyl or any other type?

Is this a fair estimate?
Should I go for Vinyl or any other windows?
Any recommendation of other products in Austin, TX

That was my guess. Model type would be good.

The short answer is that folks don't like Pella's vinyl and usually for good reason.

These are Vinyl windows.

Do you have any specific recommendation? also any reference to Austin based windows replacement company.

Texas market is a bit tougher as some of the regularly recommended windows are available down there.

I will wait for Randy to post as he knows the Texas market extremely well.

Sunrise is available in the Austin area, and would be worth a look. You might also contact NT Windows out of Ft. Worth and get a dealer or two from them. There really aren’t any great vinyl windows available in central Texas right now, unfortunately.

Don Young’s thermally-broken aluminum windows would also be worth considering.

Not familiar with Don Young, but I am a fan of aluminum windows in the hotter heating zones.
