window replacement advice

#1 Post by scrufann »

Does anyone have information on quality and performanace (energy ) of reliabilt atrium 3201 or 3500 series vinyl repalcement windows as a moderately priced window, $2250.00 for 6 windows installed by Lowe's. Is Pella better quality, near same price, $2900.00 Reliabilt has 30 year warranty. Is double thick glass more insulating? I'm not looking for the best window, just a reliable product.

expand your search. neither is considered quality, particularly pella vinyl. there are many premium grade vinyl windows that are much more energy efficient than any wood window.
you will not find anything near quality for 2300. its just not realistic.

More details would be need to say if the price was to high or even not low enough. The Reliabilt has been a reliable window for me,I don't care for the Pella Thermastar vinyl series. The Reliabilt is not as expensive as most of the highly touted soft-lite,Simonton,Gorell windows as should be priced accordingly. The double glass is not more insulating but is a worth while upgrade because it cost so little.
