I am looking for a resource for replacement screens for 20 year old Caradco windows both double hung and sliders. Any suggestions? If it was in the budget I would just replace the window but unfortunately that is out of the question. I do not remember the model name of my windows, hope that is easy to figure out somehow.
Thanks in advance,
Julie

Julie,
If you can bring a sample of the screen frame to a local glazing shop, they can usually make you something that is a suitable replacement and will work with your window.

Do you still have the screen frames?
Can they just be rescreened/meshed?
Jeld Wen, who bought caradco, supports some of the old product. You might be able to get screens through a Jeld Wen distributor.
