Installed a house full of new Marvin Integrity Sliding windows in a new construction house. The sliders bind due to sagging upper rail. A 6 foot wide slider can only be opened about 2". The manufacturer blames the house insulation. The "fibeglass" sash on some of the windows began to crack six months after installation. I took three months to get a resolution to the problem.

If it has rollers, it won't. I have windows that my wife (not a weakling) can barely open and all the sliders and doors bind, squeak, chatter and are generally lousy. The Marvin rep's response - that's normal; Marvin windows are designed for wind and water, not for good operational characteristics. Avoid them.

I called the day of the install. It took him ten days to return a call and three more days to take a look. Admitted there were many problems. After three more days expects me to put off my siding job to accommodate his busy schedule.
9 windows for roughly $5500 with installation. Actual value, $5.50. Getting rid of them, priceless.
