We paid over $15,000 to have all ne windows installed in our house. One bow window was $6,000 alone. It has crank out side windows that have broken locks that I don't have a clue how they can be unlocked. now I have an upstairs window that either has a cracked frame or was not properly installed as the bottom edge of the window is damp all the time. Since they no longer sell residential windows, I am not sure what I am going to do. Decent windows but currently extremely disappointed.

I purchased Schuco replacment windows for my entire house in 2002. They are triple-glazed with krypton gas and are extremely energy-efficient. The latches holding the windows in their tracks are cheap plastic, however, and several have broken despite respectful use. Also, the seal in a couple windows has failed, and Schuco tells me they cannot service vinyl windows at this time. In short, excellent design, good but not great execution, and HORRIBLE customer service.

Soundproof. Heating bill for 2 story ~1800 SF $70-80/mo in MN winters. Gorgeous!!! styling. Only downer is local distributor now doesn't carry and manufacturer in CT doesn't respond to emails for more windows. Anything else amd I do mean ANYTHING ELSE is crap. You might have to settle for it, but if it's not Schuco, it's crap.

Had a few problems on the basement egress windows, but everything else was PERFECT. Only downer is as above-they no longer carry them so I can't get more (:(((((. But this installer was great.
Superb pricing and a steal deal considering the quality.
