we built the house 22 years ago. after first year, the condensation was so bad i had to refinish the window. within the first 3 years i had to do it again. this time i used marine grade varnish. now the interior wood around two of the windows are rotten. the wooden base to 11 of 16 windows is also rotten. called the company. they said they would come out but never showed up. we opened windows as suggested every day and wiped them dry once a day.

I have had my windows for 22 years.I purchased Weathershield because of the, back then, higher than average energy rating. They never did seal well. The windows sweat;collect moisture on the sash,in the winter.I also installed a 6'full glass French door at that time.It has weathered very well.In summary the door was a "Hit",the windows a "Miss".

Are Weathershield and Menards interested in quality products or customer satisfaction? I think not. The lower sashes of the two $600 Crestline windows my husband and I purchased from Menards do not fit properly within the frames. We requested replacements. Instead, Weathershield twice sent a repairman to our home to "fix" the brand new windows. Its policy is "we have the right to repair, replace or reimburse (in that order), at our discretion." The repairman acused my husband and the window installer (who had worked for Menards and installed Crestline windows in the past) of installing the windows "bowed and possibly twisted." Save yourself some frustration. Purchase a good window (Pella, Anderson, etc.) and have it installed.

After 10 years E glass is failing causing pitting between panes.Weather Shield is aware of the problem , changing it's design on newer windows. They refuse to negotiate fair compensation for this defect.
Installed by Central Home Improvements Inc. of WI
They no longer do business with Weather Shield and simply defered the matter to the manufacturer.
