Need your advice please. Plan to replace 20+ windows & doors with vinyl in my San Fernando VAlley, CA home. Been doing some research and reading your commentary. Seeking best cost/performance of course. Nixed Milgard due to fewer chambers and metal spacer although pricing is best so far. Considering Polybau - good SHGC and U-Factor, multiple chambers, double thick glass, super spacer etc. Waranty looks good too, pricing moderate. Know anything about this outfit? THANKS!

The people you have asked for help are all located east of the continental divide.
You may want to redirect your question to similar window experts here on the west coast.

I have to agree with Anon. Many of the brands you would use on the west coast we have never used and know limited details on except for testing results. There are windows used on both coasts that we do know about, but to compare them with an unknown product is difficult. Local knowledge of products in this case wins out.
Anon for one has west coast knowledge and would be a good one to ask, even though he didn't give himself as a source. Anon?.....

There are many people from the west coast on this board. This forum has a sister site that has a lot of west coast posts as well, though I prefer this forum as it has way more action. I hope "Tim" doesn't mind me giving it out.

Thanks Window4u!! I visited that website previously and then couldn't find it again - forgot the name. Visited today and got more info. Also, called Polybau - big help! Thanks again.

I know the people at Polybau personally. This is a high quality manufacturer. They stand behind their products and have excellent service. They market a superb glass package that has an very high level of thermal performance as well as outstanding field durability. All of their windows feature Super Spacer, which says alot about the high standards built into Polybau windows. Highly recommended!
