We recently bought a house that has new vinyl windows. The siding on the house is beige but the windows are white. The actual window frame is ok white but unfortunately each window has a wide (4") vinyl frame around the window. Can this be successfully painted to match the siding? If it can, what kind of paint will work?

Painting vinyl framed windows usually voids the warranty.
However, since your're not the original owner of the windows, there probably isn't a warranty anyway. Find out first.
Scruff up the surface lightly with 400 grit sandpaper. Clean the frame. Apply a primer coat and then the paint. The ICI/Glidden Dulux Fortis is an awesome paint.

Grasshopper you don't use Glidden paint on vinyl windows you Huckleberry!! No your not a Huckleberry from Tombstone. Your Huckleberry Hound!!! Here's a paint used in the vinyl industry. It works well. We've used it a couple times. Here's the link:

Label reading 101. The Dulux Fortis works very well on vinyl. Siding or windows. They also have a wonderful warranty on their product. You should check it out.

Yes but you need to use the Primer and it's not recommended for Colder Climates.
