How durable is this stuff, should it be warranteed, is it painted and should I worry about it chipping or peeling?

JT, It's plenty durable. I wouldn't recommend painting it though. I've seen it done every day though. One thing to remember though is there are two different kinds of wrapping.

Smooth Coated - This is the stuff that we can't foget while growing up. You rub up against that white flat aluminum and all that white paint rubs off on your hand. Remember that. That's the stuff. Although today it's made different and doesn't do that anymore. It's plenty good and will go with anything.

PVC Coated - This has the built in woodgrain finish. It looks and feels like wood. Little bumps and low spots. This is my choice for wrapping. I feel the product is a bit thicker and has a better eye appeal.

Hope this helped!!
