I'm about to buy a variety of windows for new construction.
Dual glaze, low-e. Some single, double hung, awning, and slider combinations. The Milgards are about $1000 more for the package, the price difference could be from the fact that the quotes are from different dealers. Anyway, I'm unable to compare samples where I live so could you please help me decide what would be my best overall choice based on quality, looks and service?
Thankyou so much....

Both are good. I think you may want to consider other factors. I do know that Milgard is famous for their promised delivery dates. I can't remember when one was missed. In many areas close to their factories they now do their own new construction installs thru a subsidiary of Masco, their parent co. Milgard now also sells through big boxes and lumber chains but you may have to ask. I hope I haven't offended other Milgard dealers.

We have been waiting 3 months for a door ordered through Milgard. On a recent order placed they will ship the unit in 8 weeks.

Jeff
You will probably find most window and door manufacturers running late.
From what I have heard INS has been visiting the factories looking for illegals. Apparently there are a lot of illegals. Apparently they have documentation that can fool a company’s human resource department. However, when they are tipped off about the raid they disappear and the company is suddenly short handed.
Just a rumor from a very reliable source.
