You can get the glass replaced without replacing the entire window. Call a local window manufacturer to see if they know someone who will come to your house. This is a lot less expensive than replacing the entire window.

The guy's obviously jumped way ahead of things with all the NO answers. First of all before the NO thing is absolute. How old are the windows and is there any kind of warranty on them. If they are still under warranty then you can get them replaced for free. If they are out dated then it's the dreaded no way. THe best thing to do is find out who made the windows and go to the company who made tehm. They may be able to offer a little more help then we can.
Good Luck!!!

Would it be practical to actually replace IG ???

Seems to me it would be more sensical to replace the entire sash than try and retrofit new IG in a fusion-welded sash.

To change out the glass takes about five minutes. If you don't know the manufacturer or maker this is not an option. It also costs more money that way.
