Pella windows with blinds inside

We are considering these for our window over the kichen sink.

Are there any disadvantages that would discourage you from getting them again?

Merril,

When I remodeled a kitchen of mine I used Pella casements with the blinds inside because it would be much easier to clean the glass than clean the blinds, especially in a kitchen area.

They worked perfectly. Highly recommended application.

I have some Pella casements with blinds and the retractable screens. Love 'em. Absolutely no problems, but be sure to take care in finishing them properly. There are lots of nooks and crannies to paint to seal the wood properly. The latest retractable screens now have wood-clad tracks on the sides, they match the rest of the wood perfectly. Highly recommended.

Hey RC i have a question about your Pella's.
I know that the glass comes out to clean your blinds, after you remove that pane how many are left only one or two panes. is it a triple pane?

You can get them either with outer thermal pane glass (double glazing), or with an outer single pane of glass. I have the former, with dual pane glass and argon, low-e coating. The inner glass pane (third pane) is removable to service the blinds, of course.
