Window brand? need help identifing

Posted At: 2004-09-21 17:22:39

I just bought a house that is 10 years old and the security alarm company broke a window. I can't get anyone to replace this window or can tell me who the manufacture of the window is.

Can somoeone tell me what to look for in order to find out who made the window so I can get it replaced.

The window is two opening windows side by side with a fixed arch window above. It is vinyl, double pane. You can see that there is about 1/4" gap between the panes. On the top is two sliding locking levers that will allow the window to be opened in for cleaning.

Help Please!!!!!!

Are you wanting to replace the window or the GLASS in the window. If only glass, any glass shop can do it. Big difference between a window and window glass.

The inside pane is cracked and that is what I was trying to get fixed. Everyone that will come and replace house windows in my area tell me that they can't fix it and that I will have to contact the manufacturer of the window to get a replacement window.

and no one can tell me who the manufacturer is.

Apparently the vent is not face glazed but marine glazed. That would mean that the vent would be reomoved and disasembled and then reglazed. A more experience glazier should look at it. I can not imagine a window being made by anyone without being reglazed somehow. Difficult, yes. Interesting yes. Impossible NO.

I can't help original inquirer, but have a similar question: we think we have identified our fogged windows as Kel-Pane windows by a Keller Aluminum Company (based on AAMA mfr. code). However, we can't find any information on the company to determine if the windows might still be under warranty (they are 9 yrs. old). Any help out there?
