Hi,
I am new to the forum, so take it easy on me if I break any rules.
We are replacing windows in a 1950's ranch style house and my wife wants windows with grey frames. Most windows I have found come in either white or tan. Is anyone aware of any manufacturers who make a grey window? If not, is it possible to paint the frame on a vinyl window without impacting the performanace of the window?
Thanks in advance for your help.
John

Weathershield offer a wood product with an aluminum exterior clad with tons of colors. Pozzy windows do as well. the only Vinyl windows i know of are Mercer but i think their warranty on their color vinyls is highly limited and from what i hear a pricy window for a vinyl.
And thats all i got to say bout that :0

E-Z be careful abut recommending the Pozzi and Weathershiled windows..both have had major problems...i was at a house in San Rafael with 6 year old Weathershields that didnt handle the weather too well..all the seals have popped...and do your homework on Pozzi

Dear Sam, i just read my posting real carefully and i do not see where i reccomended the above windows, he asked about colors and i am right they do offer those colors. You however have endorsed a window on a color that looks nothing like a gray color.
Oh Sam i was at a house where a rba bay window aluminum clad had all popped out,
I was at a house where a Milgard Doors miters had become loose.
I was at a house where a Pella windows Aluminum Clad had faded.
I was at a house where a Simonton glazing bead broke the glass.
I was at a house where Certainteed windows had warped.
I was at a house where.....
Hell i just had an idea i am going to write a book it will be entitled
I WAS AT A HOUSE. by E-z

Thank's Randy, I thought all the RBA salespeople had given up trying to hawk their crap on this site. Everyone know's my pet peave in this business are people and Co's trying to pass off a mediocre product as top shelf.

When I first saw the window, I was impressed with it's appearance. It is a good looking window. However, once you start REALLY looking at it, and once you start doing a little research on it, you quickly realize that it is a window which is going to be a real problem for Anderson at some point.
