You can call Schuco direct or you can email me for a corporate contact. Those I have assisted in past seem to recieve just a little extra TLC when forwarded through friends of mine in Schuco management. Be happy to help if I can, but I am flying to Chicago tomorrow am early thru the weekend.

Thanks. I called and there is only one dealer in my area. Unfortanately they had 8 complaints filed against them according to the BBB. I have enough bids for Simonton, Certainteed, & Alside from companies with a satisfactory record and no complaints.
Any insight on the Simonton 5500 vs. Bryn Mawr II vs. Alside Excalibur. I am replacing a 104" X 77" picture window with two equal sized picture windows (tempered glass, low-e, argon, colonial grids) and a 2-lite slider, 60" x 60" (no grids, low e, argon).
Simonton bids are $1688, $2077, $2291.
Alside is $1728, and certainteed will be coming later.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

all good windows you've picked. I went thru the agony of choosing windows about a year ago...simonton, alside and bryn mawr..the simontons were with mitchell window, the alside's bondane exteriors and the bryn mawr american home improvement. the alsides were the highest with simonton and bryn about the same price... I went with another window maker and installer...that would be dale webster exteriors and the made in missouri window quaker.

from what I understand the simonton has an upgrade to the superspacer, you get the denny clip pivoting system, constant force balance and the simonston sloping sill, the alside is ppg warm edge, constant force and not sure what the bryn mawr comes with...depending upon where it's made it could have swiggle seal or tru seal the new upgrade or another warm edge technology...i think that's what made me unsure of brynn mawr..certainteed hires out other companies to make their windows. it does have constant force balances too. if you're into the excaliber, might want to give window world a call, they sell windows made by alside under a different name..the 4000 and the 6000 series...could be cheaper than alside pricewise...not sure how they compare, though they look just like alside's.

good luck.
