Hey Michelle, I just happen to love our Minnesota Winter's. I would suggest a couple types for you. If your looking for a wood interior you could go with Marvin. This is an aluminum clad exterior with a wood interior to stain and match your existing wood color. Best of all it's made right here in MN. This would be your ultimate choice of windows and have a cost to go with it. If your looking for a more cost affective wood interior. Scherer Bros Lumber here in MN makes a window called Far North. It's very similar to the Marvin window but a bit cheaper in cost. Pound for pound they are almost the same window. If it's the economical vinyl insert your looking for. I would recommend a local manufacturer from St. Cloud called Thermo-Tech. They offer a lifetime warranty with a very quality made product. You can visit them at the link below. Feel free to email me and I can get you any information you need and your local distributor. Hope this helped.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will look into both of those.
I'm replacing a 12 foot slider from 1972.
