We just replaced all the windows in our victorian with pella architect series windows, with a wood exterior. They look beautiful, but can anybody tell me whether it is normal for these windows to be a little tight when opening and shutting? Perhaps this is part of getting a good seal? Also, when we lock and unlock the window, turning the lock handle atop the lower sash, the entire window shifts a little in its frame. It shifts just a tiny amount, and I don't feel any air coming in, but it does seem a little strange that there is any movement. The installer doesn't think that this is a big deal.
Thoughts and advice? thanks, adriana
