I was suprised this morning to discover condensation around the edge of the triple pane, krypton filled windows from a respected manufacturer that I recently had installed. Was I niave to expect that new windows would have eliminated this phenomena or are the windows perhaps not as good as I was led to believe?

I don't think you were naive but your windows may be telling you something about the insulation around your home.I know for a fact this has been discussed in this board before, use the search feature and read on.

To follow up Art and E-Z, if the condensation was outside, then what you are seeing is perfectly normal and no cause for any concern. In fact, it actually means that your windows are performing well.
If it was inside, then I would suggest that E-Z had the right idea about a possible install issue.

If it's on the inside there should be some concern. If it's on the outside more than likely it's a North or Northwest facing window. More than likely near a garden or around shrubs or trees. The windows in my home did the same thing this year. First time in four years since I put them in. I've even had customers call me this year asking why. Nothing the past few years just this year. Oberon explained it to me in detail. I was lost for most of it. More or less it really means all cylinders are firing well. Should be just fine!!
