It would be interesting to know if these failures you are seeing are from manufactures that cover visible moisture between the glass in there warranty.

Our neighbors bath tub valve blew out when it froze; they sound asleep when it happened. The tub drain was not working well, so the tub overflowed and there was major water damage to ceilings, floors and walls. The tub is on the second floor with the valve located on the outside wall.

Re: ? How To Get My Money Back !!!!

I have RBA windows and to be honest about it, if i had to do it over again, i would still go with the same w...

Re: External condensation on vinyl windows

I had all of my old single pane windows replaced this past July. I used Milgard's double pane, argon gas-filled, low-E Superspacer windows. Everything was fine during the warm months. Now, in late September when it is getting cooler overnight (I live in the Seattle area), I am getting a heavy layer...

StickerShock You have casement windows and 3 patio doors. The multi unit windows are like 2 or even 3 units -- so it's unfair to compare your job to the customer who is looking at $500 per hole. Based on your measurements -- you have a very large job. The quotes you've gotten seem reasonable and I ...

Energy audit your home in the internet.

This advanced feature is under construction. First, you will enter energy bills for the past twelve months as well as brief information about your home or facility (year built, type of heating and cooling systems, approximate floor area, etc.). EnergyCAP will then statistically correlate your energy...

I am not a Renewal Rep. but i had one out to my house last year. I would not say that he was bashing vinyl, but what he was doing was stating the difference between vinyl and Fibrex. Found out later that what he said about Fibrex and vinyl are facts. When facts are pointed out, is that bashing?

The steel spacers look non conductive when compared to the old aluminum spacer and is a big improvement ; but when compared to non metallic spacers like Super Spacer and TPS the steel spacer begins to look like a conductor. All this would would be much clearer to the readers if data was posted. Wha...

[quote]This also a fun way to explain metal window spacers too. OK...[quote/]

Stainless steel spacers are metal and are a warm-edge low conductivity spacer. Did you forget to mention this?
