Re: Okna 600/800 versus Reliabilt 3900

+1 to the idea that they are outdated. Not sure that is a fair comparison.

Right now, the EVO is the leader in the clubhouse in my book.

Re: Window Replacement - South of Atlanta

This...is the world that we live in now.

Seems odd seeing as we are supposed to be back at work. Go figure.

It's almost as if people are being paid to stay home?

Re: Okna 500, 800 vs Sunrise Restoration

Tall and and wide windows from Sunrise do scare me a bit. Definitely if you aren't getting the Restorations with the reinforcement. In that case, as WindowNerd said, get the 800 series. Too many feedback points about the Sunrise showing some bow and print through on the sills with irregular sills.

No lift rail. Just naked at that point.

True.

They do hate when you ask for that modification at the factory. You would think you are asking them to reinvent the wheel.

Re: Replacement Window Appearance

Quite a normal application to be honest.

If you are in Philly, have you reached out to the guys on the forums that service that area?

The Okna 800 is a great window and while I do like the Marvin product, I certainly don't see $600 per unit value add in their case.

Re: Okna 500, 800 vs Sunrise Restoration

Definitely wouldn't put surface 4 in the NE. It's a great window in the family of vinyl products because its performance data, even if not quite as good as the Okna equivalents, is still head and shoulders above the majority of vinyl products. It also is quite slim in its lines and is a pretty produ...

Not far at all. Maybe 3/8" or so. Never seen it be an issue where they weren't pushed really close to the window.

Re: Okna 500, 800 vs Sunrise Restoration

Sunrise is an 0.04 or 0.05. Still good, not as good as the Okna 500 at a 0.02 or the Okna 800 at a 0.01. Where is the home? I don't care for surface 4 Low-e (i.e. interior home) in colder climates. Sunrise is a great window and that number is tough to beat. What kind of window is being removed and w...

Re: Okna 500/600/800 + Elegante

Yeah...I am not sure that "worse" is the appropriate descriptor in that case or that the only rationale for the 800 is because of woodgrains. If you are doing it once, the 800 does make for a nicer interior look with the metal hardware and it is their best window in the normal vinyl line-up.

Re: Impervia sliding door

Less concerned about the price of the door than I am the quality.

Costs are DEFINITELY up.

For a fiberglass door, that is cheap. For a good fiberglass door, really cheap.

In that comparison, the 500 is the better window and the Starmark is better than the 500.

Re: Majestic vs Okna 800

Can't add much to what was said already. 800 is one of the top 2 or 3 vinyl windows in the country if you ask me.
