Lessons learned
I have not posted in a long time. To give a summary I took a long time to buy windows and ended up going with Gorell. During the contract signing I repeated a ridiculous number of times about adding insulation around the windows I contacted them within the 3 day right to cancellation of the contract...

FenEx Believe me when I say I am going to do everything within my means to make sure this company does not get away with this. They had no intention of installing insulation as discussed and now it looks like they have no intention of fixing the screens that had been damaged either in storage or tra...

Update
As of yet my email has not been answered but they changed their website so that it does not say they fully insulate around the windows as it had yesterday, but I saved it in its previous form. Obviously they know that it did say that. I probably should not have pointed that out but you would think t...

Gorell window screens difficult to move.
Is it normal for the screens to be so hard to move that you can barely move them?

These were replacement windows. I did not say they fit tight I said there were gaps. You really would have had to see it. I asked for insulation to be put in when the windows were installed and it was not. Their website claims they fully insulate around the windows. This is in no way an unreal expec...

I specifically stated how I wanted insulation as part of the installation numerous times. I went so far as to tell the guy make sure you are willing to do what I want for the price you are charging me for the windows. I called back within the period of right of cancellation and wanted the contract t...

My windows were installed from the inside. He put the outside capping on before he installed the windows, is that the right way to do it? The foam strip around the window frame that Mr Gorell refers to does not cover the frame from edge to edge, it is in the middle section and did not appear to stic...

Maybe I am missing something here, I hope so for my sake. I am not experienced at installation and he is. He knew that while I was not over his shoulder or in the way or harassing him that I was taking a look now and then. I addressed this issue with him twice so it would have been stupid for him to...

Mr Gorell One of the windows upstairs had what must have been at least a 3/8 gap and he said it was all the way to the right and when he moved it over it would fill it in. I am not talking about 1/8 inch gaps here. The old windows had plastic inserts on both sides that were removed, I don!t know if ...

Mr Gorell
I don!t remember exactly how it was worded but I have seen something suggesting that people who install Gorell windows have passed or met some training or requirements. That Gorell is concerned about who and how when it comes to the installation of their product. My question to you is this. I unders...

Unfortunately I already paid them when they finished because I could not prove they did anything wrong. I emailed the business today explaining what I had asked for up front and that what I saw was not what I asked for. I explained about the gaps I saw. He called the installer and then called me and...

Fen Ex Thank you for your response. Beyond telling the company how I feel what are my other options. I mentioned up front that I wanted them insulated and sealed and even sent an email within the 3 days telling them the language in the contract did not include that but he insisted the wrapping which...

Sorry for babbling on yesterday. Could someone please answer two more questions for me. When they did the install they split one piece of trim probably 7 or 8 inches up the side about an inch in and another is cracked horizontally with zagged edges looks like it cracked in half but did not come apar...
