Terrained Super Spacer

Hopefully one of my last questions. There's a spot in a corner that looks like there wasn't enough foam to cover the whole inside. One corner has some gray goop in it. Another has a visible maybe 1/4" or less gap with no visible goop. Is this or any small visible crack on the superspacer anythi...

Air Lok

Sorry for all the questions.
A few more and I'll be gone.

Aren't the Simonton 9800 sliders supposed to come with Airlok?
Is it possible my sashes are in wrong? hehe
If it matters, the keepsafe logo is at the top corner.

Believe it or not I'm not trying to look for things that are wrong.

I should have a full pic of it but it isn't as close.
I'll post it later tonight.
Pretty sure the caulk was paintable.
Not sure about the capping...

All of my windows were installed by WW sticking out a bit like in the previous pic. The noise reduction of the new window installed by (can I mention their name here?) worked for most things except the barking dogs who look thirsty for antifreeze. JK! Here's a couple pics of the new installed Simont...

In a previous post I may have mentioned leakage coming from the airlocks but what I meant were the cam lock latches. The weather stripping that goes down the center beside the locks does not look to be touching the window much when closed. So far, that center area is the only spot I can put my ear c...

The wrong sticker came with my window.

Keepsafe is etched in both panes and there are no grids.

I was told I'd get the real sticker in about 2 weeks.

I guess I should be asking for the 9800 that I had specifically put in the contract, or maybe just a refund of the difference? I'm mainly going for the noise reduction. When I poke my ear up to the airlocks I can hear outside a bit more than I should be able to and am sure that's something they can ...

New Simonton

I was going to wait untill I knew 100% if my new window was a 9800 (laminated inside pane like I ordered) or a 5500. EDIT: (It is the 9800) Regardless of not yet knowing but thinking it is probably a 5500, it is without a doubt to me, a superior window to my old Alside. I don't know if it was becaus...

Simonton window ID please

Looks like a 5500 to me. Sorry for the blurry latch pic. Also, I ordered the single slider and this is a double which according to the site is not made in the 9800 but the 5500. Nice window regardless. Superior to Excalibur IMO. Thanks! http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l64/rmleer/wbj2.jpg http://i9...

It's kind of hard to tell with the foam spacer but even the installer agreed with me that both panes look to be equal thickness. :(

Does the goldish sticker in the frame have all the info about the glass etc?

Simonton question

According to these specs, would the total thickness of the laminated pane be 1/8" .063 + "random thickness interlayer" +.063 ?? Or would it be closer to 1/4" ?? Also, I didn't think they offered the 9800 as a double slider but that's what I got. Not complaining there but I'm tryi...

I'll be getting my new window put in today. :D edit: It had to start raining...oh well, I'll post my review and a comparison pic when it's done. Thought I'd throw an ugly pic up I took the other day. Check out Window World's top notch quality! http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l64/rmleer/ww2....

Well I guess I didn't need to ask the Window co. how thick the interlayer was after all. heh I did sign a contract to replace one slider with the 9800, 1" IGU, SS, laminated inside pane @ .125x.060x.125 and .125 regular outer pane. Along with low-e,argon this time... Low expanding foam was adde...
