Sliders are always more "leaky" than other windows. It seems to me you purchased a good product. GL makes good stuff. I'd have a GL service rep come put and inspect it for you. Sho him where the air is leaking. They are pretty helpful.

Ignore that. It's a marketing gimmick. What you need to know is the overall U value of the units

So then to answer my original question TP "can" be quieter than a DP with laminated glass depending on the frequency of the sound one is trying to deaden. If that is safe to one might wonder what hz levels things like road traffic and lawnmowers make. I'm an audiophile. My truck is my sou...

Ok I need some education here too it seems. I understood that a TP/Kryton window was quieter than all of the above options. Please educate me.

The only limitation we see here is our comfort level. Silicone caulking holds up well in the cold and bonds to the metal capping and vinyl window fine to about 15 or so. Anything colder than that we simply can't work. At the worst we might have to come back and re-caulk when it's warmer.

Also why did Four Seasons buy the company? In my mind at least they probably like the windows and figure they can do better with the business side of things. So who is to say that they will not continue making the same windows with their name on them? Who is to say that there will be no support int...
