Re: NE Mississippi Alcorn County Contractor Needed

Find a regional sales rep, someone that works directly for the MFG, for Pella, Marvin, and AW, ask them who they would trust to install windows in their own house.
We have installed windows for many pople related to the industry.

Re: Replacing the glass from another identical window

If the installers get one out in decent shape then you can use it.
Not only is it old, it is thin builders grade glass. Instead o 1/8 it is single strength and cracks easily.

Re: Anyone with Okna almond windows?

Eric is correct G8 window beige is a good match for Okna almond/beige. What Marivin color you thinking, Cashmere? It is the closest to Okna almond. Besides asthetics you will be concerned with budget and draft. If you are doing almond both side then you will look at the Okna 600, assuming DH. If spl...

Re: Nashville TN- Windows

RRP is not lead abatement. It is lead safe wok and protocols required by the EPA. We all hate it.
My partner just changed ours to $150 per window.

Good choice.

Re: Nashville TN- Windows

This is a personal comment. I would use the Okna 600/6600DX.
Sounds like I should open a division in Nashville.

Re: Aluminum capping over a vynal window.

Two other methods. They ain't going to do them cause there quality is to low. They could make that two radius ribbons and laminate over what is there. You can use composite trim: A. prebent to the radius and width. B. do it with polyurethane flex molding. Almost anything would look better if done wi...

A Pella Pro dealer may be able to offer a much better price.
It is a different distribution channel and independent installer.

Re: AI on Window Nation's Addison?

looks like it it could be a special series just for wn. I can not find anything about it on mi website. As you suspect that normally means they are embarrassed by the structural test results. Why would you use wn? Do you like false and misleading advertising? They only use subs, and not the best one...

Re: basement window replacement

There maybe confusion as to what you and he are talking about. There is an aluminum frame inside the steel frame. Is he saying to remove the steel frame? That can be done but is is tough as DEMike shared. I haven't had a CC payment in a year, we incentivize our client to pay by check or cash. Why wo...

Remove the aluminum frame, leave the steel frame. Either paint the steel exterior or cap it with aluminum.

Re: Is there room for negotiation with replacement windows?

Yes, you can negotiate a price.
You can also change the spec on the job to lower the cost.
If you want something, a lower price or something else repaired, what do you have to offer to make that up. Some real cash, make a promotional video, or something else of value to the install company.
