Agreed, quad mulled unit.
It is a non bearing wall, but code would require a structural header anyway.

Re: Mulling: Factory vs On-Site
As long as they do not do an H mullion which are prone to leaking you should be fine with either site or factory mulled. We drive most projects to the jobsite in a pick up truck with 8' bed. Anything over 94" pobably requires driving with the tail gate down. My guys prefer not to have the tail ...

Re: Name of group of windows that fits between studs? No header?
I am not aware of a specific name for that. Small no header, or headerless stud pocket. DE Mike and I could get creative: direct glaze IGU over the edges of stud then jamb ot studs, or Just paint or cap the studs gives you VG 14 1/2" or 22 1/2". I have not seen a 24" OC in ages. wayne...

Re: Pella Proline replacement options
For us, if we were to go through the agg of taking out that sill dam, we would just as well do a full frame. The Doylestown project I mentioned that we used Okna inserts. Forget to mention the existing interiors were staine, we used Melrose cherry laminate and split finished grids, looks great. Like...

Re: Pella Proline replacement options
Some of the first Proline windows were all roll formed, sooner after they were roll formed sash, extruded frames. It is easy enough to install inserts into clad frames. The salesman and installers just need to know how to measure and install. Our installers like to saws all off the outside aluminum ...

Fiberglass offers larger picture units.
On SH or DH I would love to see .03 or less AL on fiberglass.

Re: Window Quotes in Tennessee
It is beyond understanding why companies that are premium companies ( Pella, AW, Provia) to name a few, but not the best engineers think pocket sills are not a problem.
I asked an executive at Pella about it and they said what do you mean?
DUH.

Re: ProVia vs Ideal vs Okna 400/500/800 in LI
We tried Ideal as an alternative to Okna. We had terrible QC issues with Majestic. I like the Okna 800Dx the best. With out seeing the total scope, we would charge 21K. We are the best value in our market. The 800Dx is a very tight well built unit. My installers hate to touch anything else. theWindo...

What town and state are you in?
I would look for a much better performing window.
High performance vinyl or composite windows < .03AL ( air leakage) is the key test result you should look for. That and a pro foam gun.

A .08 air leakage is a no go for me.
Besides that I am an Okna dealer, a little biased, but SL was my previous vendor before they killed the relationship with horrible QC.

Re: Replacing a Damaged Glass Block Window
I like Pella for this : two options I would look at:
Impervia direct set
or
Lifestyles direct set
you can do tempered obscure low e argon, you will have to check if you can add Sun Defense with those options.

Re: Replacing the glass from another identical window
I think post 6 missed the point. You are deglazing an existing IGU to reglaze into a different frame. That fixed CMR will stay in place till you demo the whole frame. To deglaze the glass you need to remove the glazing stops, insert and run a putty knife between the exterior glass surface and the al...

Re: SILICONE vs POLYURETHANE
We most often use Soudal medium modulus silicone, if we are doing white or clear.
Color is a judgement based on gaps to be sealed, clear can make for some ultra clean lines.
If we need a color and it has to be paintable Quad or quad max.
