wish i could have found an easier way, the mortar was old and soft and couldnt breath on it or it would crack and a brick would come loose the grinder did clean it up nice, a chisel would be to violent, flat bar did ok on mortar flash, adhesive would have worked the dust was bad and the grinder had ...

look at http://www.bayworldmfg.com/ look at their vendor list and it will give you an idea what a bay seat unit looks like, they are suspended by cables, with lcd backlites wood optiions, corian sills ,as options for plants etc.secured at the top to the house framing some of the larger manufacturers...

i must get my finished photos from my storage chip and "Windows vista" is not cooperating, the overhead wood 1x12 fascia overhang shields the top it has a piece of leveled plywood over the top of window fastened to the header with stainless screws the edge of the top of the window is flush...

thats what i did two full view casement flankers with one big picture fixed in the center framed out the top then hardytrim over top of window edge then siliconed could probally pressure wash it and it wont leak took a whle to do but very strong and watertight wish i had the cabled seat unit it is r...

Everyone is right with all this ,just did this on 22 windows in brick very labor intensive, had to put little blocks on some for the gap as the screw would miss and or would pull frame out of square if it was not backed up and it wasnt tight/snug either the little block or wedges are hidden by silic...

Have been happy with the Don Young double hung tan replacement windows and they are made in Dallas also , 55/27 guardian glass = to 366 cardinal and full screens, meeting rail reinforcement standard, .28, and nice window at a competitive /fair price, could pay a lot more for comparable unit simonton...

I did this exact install , Cut all caulking inside and out with utility knife, heated & lightly softened & removed brittle vinyl weatherstrip from around window pane with a propane torch and needlenose pliers, lightly heated pane edges and old hard glazing putty will soften then gently pushe...

Neuma makes a wind rated door, fiberglass with composite frame and replaceable lite window unit nice but pricey also stainless hardware for corrosion protection available every one told me to steer away from blind units due to durabilitiy issues, neat but could be troublesome, with out the argon fil...

Have you had any bids from Don Young windows they are made in Dallas and have a good price point they have 3 colors and a guardian 55/27 glass equal to 366 i have istalled the tan vinyl double hung units and they are nice windows?

sounds like a radiused offset bump out wall with 5 lites no seat , is overhead exposed top sill framed or roofed with metal cladding , shingles or copper ? is it 100% exposed? or covered by the eaves or soffit? 5 x 20x60 each didnt say if they were framed seperately or mulled together? just throwin...
