Re: Decent quote? - Windows and Door - ProVia

Im not trying to be rude but perhaps you shouldnt be concerned with how much money a contractor is making unless of course you can share your own tax returns to the contractor. Its very intrusive. i would never allow a customer to ask such questions.

Re: Provia Endure vs Aspect vs Soft-lite pro - Please help !!

There are more differences between the Endure and the Aspect, not just the tilts. The Endure is a heavier, stronger window.
The price he gave you is already super low, i dont know how he would come in lower on the Endure.

The Endure is a step above the Aspect and the Soft Lite Pro. What is your pricing on the Endure?
Are you getting grids?

You sure all that noise isnt coming from the big mouth of Kamala Harris ? If thats the issue, vote her out of the senate. Lol Laminated glass is the best at reducing noise. Milgard and Anlin are pretty well regarded on the west coast. As far as “ being bulky”, thats very subjective. I dont know if m...

Re: Veridis 1800, AKA Okna, AKA "Pricey?"

I have two friends that both had pools put in their backyards 2 years ago. One guy over paid for his project and everytime i ask about it, he complains about how much he paid. However, the work is great and each time people come to his home, someone always compliments him on how nice his backyard lo...

Re: Soft Lite Element vs Slocomb vs Window World?

The 500 is a very good window but the Okna 800 does have more structural features and is also a bit more robust. Its not just about looks and woodgrain options. The Okna 600 is similar to the 800 and also has some more engineering features that make the window stronger than the 500 series in my view...

Re: Sunrise Window Questions

Mail man I would start off by asking if he would make a deal with you. He comes down on the SDL grid price and you might consider delivering his mail on time.lol SDL grids are notoriously expensive. as far as reinforcement, i definitely prefer it. The restorations will be a stronger window, there is...

Re: Window Quotes all over the place

Bear in mind, prices went up considerably in the past 5 years, most significantly this past year due to supply issues. Again, no company I know uses sq ft for pricing. Any direct correlation you came up with should be chalked up to coincidence. I can tell you 14k is very good prices. The 35k quote m...

Re: Window Quotes all over the place

Who in the world quotes by square ft ??? No company quotes that way. When you say you have 13 openings that doesnt translate to 13 windows. How many windows are in each opening? You can have one opening but its a twin window ( 2 windows ) or a triple window ( 3 windows ). If each opening is a twin, ...

The arch windows are tough to line up perfectly. Looks like you will be fine though.

Go with the 500 deluxe if you can. The 500 with the energy package is also good.

Re: Quote for Okna 600 Replacements

Agree. The 600 will have a more narrow frame than the 800. That said, the 800 is not very bulky. The performance of the okna 600 is very close to the 800 and very solid.

Re: Solace patio door is it the same as sunrise restorations?

Did your dealer SPECIFICALLY say that Solace was actually a Sunrise product or just similar? That would be a big difference.
