Re: Purchased replacement window. Now what? Advice needed.

Most companies have a minimum of 4-5 windows due to the expense of sending an installer, setting up the truck and equipment along with the expense of the caulks,...

Re: Vytex or Sierra Pacific??
Out of the 3 quotes thus far, the Vytex is the clear winner by far. The “ potomac” is much better designed than the other 2.

We do like Soft Lite and our experience has been a good one in terms of qc.
You would probably want to take a look at Stanek. They make a nice looking window from what I remember.

No worries at all. The installers will make sure they have plenty of water as well.

Great window. It may actually be the sunrise vanguard.
His approach is 100% acceptable and by far the most common method. You should be fine.
A full frame tear out is good but that requires new interior and exterior trim and can be very costly.

Re: New or replacement? Install?
Just some food for thought. The majority of folks that come to this site regarding complaints about their windows/ installation are 99% the result of a family friend or just a jack of all trades contractor who has the windows supplied by the homeowner in order to save some money. How much money was ...
