i would respectfully have to disagree and state that foam filling does very little if anything for the insulating value of a frame or sash in a vinyl window. foam is cheap and if it worked, every manufacturer would pump there frames full of it. it is simply not that easy. to the average homeowner it...

i partially agree windowman2000, i tell my customers, the ones that ask, which by the way is about a strong 5%. it is an attempt to compare windows at the end of a production line in a controlled envirement. it by no means will give you an indication of how that window will perform in 1-2-or 10 year...

i had very good luck with the polaris ultraweld. i would not recommend the other polaris windows such as thermalweld,dynatech or mastertech.

window world may indeed only have i resolved complaint in 3 years. the product they are distributing,alsides, has 46. if you are buying windows from a dealer you must check their bbb report and the window manufacturer. you are dealing with two seperate companies.

all higher end windows will have some sort of metal reinforcement at the very least along the meeting rails. maybe that is what they are referring to as metal framed. didn't your "friend" see the windows? how can a salesman paint the truth if you actually see the windows and inspect cut-aw...

It would be possible however you would need to replace trim on the inside of the window. the outside would be capped as usual. check with the manufacturer or dealer you are dealing with.

yep, too big, it is the height at 66" that is the problem. we go up to 160" in length but only at 55" high. we also go 120" length at 65" high. no exceptions. a picture window in the center and double hung flankers is a very popular choice. i dont think it will be as bad as ...
