You figured me out. When I supported Schuco in their better years... I was called biased. Now that they are defaulting on many promises to dealers and homeowners and I am pointing it out... I'm bashing. You followed my advice to buy them but yet you now question my integrity on follow-up information...

SCHUCO UPDATE
After literally dozens of calls from my office... none have been returned. I average 1-2 calls per week from custmers seeking solutions to product issues. The conference call I mentioned with Schuco was never followed through with on their part. I happened to catch and just got off the phone with Ri...

Truck/Van Preferences?
With the changes in the Illinois law, most sub-contractors will become a thing of the past as it is official that as of Jan.08 installers will have to be full-time employees. I am very Ok with this. Part of bringing everything in-house is increasing trucks and trailers. Do any of you have preference...

LOL... why am I the only one here getting time-stamped by the board historians? I am a victim here too and was also deceived. The last wave of Schuco contracts that I just refunded cost my company 68k in sales. Alot can happen in three years. All of a sudden I have a conference call with Schuco sche...

That's still to be determined... just like any other warranty issued. It's value or dependability can't be set until it's actually needed. I can't even count the number of people I know that have been screwed by Pella and Andersen amongst others. As stated.. time will tell. I'll be one of the first ...

Enough. I for one am tired of covering Schuco's ~. Here are the facts which I have experienced first hand. Their service is by far the worst I have ever come across. I completely agree with prior posts stating that they have made countless promises to improve but it never happens. I have more servic...

No Low-E and No gas fills is NOT energy efficient. A double pane window today without these will have the same EE of a unit produced in the 1970's. Low-E and Argon has been around since 1982 and is NOT recent technology. The last thing the industry and homeowners need is yet another company manufact...

I will share the outcome soon.

Quality vinyl windows utilize TiO2 at up to 10% loading to increase weatherability because the Titanium Dioxide strongly absorbs in the UV electromagnetic spectrum, effectively quenching much of this radiation and thereby protecting the PVC polymer from degradation.

Sorry to read about your contractor issues, but you should be very careful about imposing your suggested discount. When and if the contractor finishes the work and completes the contract, they are entitled to be paid in full. You can and should demand some compensation to repair the damaged carpet, ...

PB I understand very well how the sales process you are describing works. It's very common, but is losing traction every year that passes with customer awareness... much like the awareness you are expressing... you know it's a game. Lets take your fence. Asking for 8k, but able to drop to 7.5k... or...
