Re: Tax Credit Legislation
no way they have the money to even consider this. large infusions of cash, whether by keeping interest rates artificially low or spending ;inflation always follows.

Re: Gorell 5155 with Eco Master Glass vs Okan 500 DX
both are good windows but the okna 500 will render better performance numbers than the 5100; okna is a .25 while the gorell 5100 is a .30 .. okna also has a lifetime warranty whereas gorell is 50 year which is basically a lifetime.

Re: Replacement windows for a 23 yr home in Edison, NJ
I would not even consider the Lowes Pella. Pella make a very low quality vinyl window; its bottom of the barrel with American Craftsman/Silverline. All professional's would agree on that.

Re: 6 month old Soft-Lites, MAJOR leaks, looking for advice
i see this often in the corners of the meeting rails where you can amost see daylight. weather stripping should be applied after the weld not before which is what most window companies do.also, weather stripping stops at the weld and that small void which is very small can be an s problem with air. i...

Re: Bainbridge vs. Okna
as to your other question. most companies have lead times of 2-3 weeks including Okna. However, because of last minute orders and the Holidays, orders are now pusged out about 4-5 weeks. nothing to really do about that. i would not base my decision because you have to wait 5 weeks opposed to 3. the 5...

Re: Bainbridge vs. Okna
for an extra 200 i would definitely go with the Okna 500 series; its a no brainer. that is an excellent price for the Okna 500.

Re: Alside excalibur elite or United series 800
excalibur is a very poor quality window. do a search and you will see that. bad design and leaks air. united is a tad better but still not regarded as quality. you do not want to shell out a bunch of money on a product you think you are getting a good deal on simply based on price. it will prove to ...

Cellular PVC is a solid, foam-extruded material that expands as it cools and hardens. The foam extrusion process creates air bubbles that help to make cellular PVC lighter and stronger than most other materials. For instance, it is 140% stronger than vinyl, which makes it more stable. That stability...
