you would qualify for a $200 tax rebate based on the US department of Energy program as long as the windows are energy efficient, I think. But the whole thing, I don't think so.

418 a window installed? seems a little cheap to me. When you started this thread it seemed like you wanted the go ahead for the 149 dollar windows, so my guess is you are a price shopper. around 750 seems reasonable for a schuco that comes from a reputable dealer. I know some charge a little more or less depending on where they are located. I know some over a thousand for a standard schuco DH which is pushing it.

who makes the window, who installs it, who guarantees it? $199 a window why is it so much less? how much is spent manufacturing that window, how much are the installers paid to put it in? I am by NO means endorsing Home depot or WW, I believe you could do better than both in the $9-10k range Remembe...

What he is going to do is offer you another window for less, or offer the same windows for (fill in the blank) discount. The windows were 12k last week today they are 8k. Lots of people think what a deal and sign up.

not to get off topic, but aluminum frames search around for the pitfalls of those? Is triple glass an option for you? I know they do a good job of reducing noise.

i think the nitrogen is a larger molecule than the argon? therefore it helps keep the gases from leaching out? i've read that due to the thermal expansion and contraction of vinyl frames that this is a serious issue? any comments? :P your junior high school science teacher is shuttering somewhere!

whats with the two gases though? You must admit that is a gimick The denser gas settles below the argon, they don't mix, just like oil and water!
