Interesting tidbit
The need for replacement windows will remain high for some time but did you ever wonder who sells what and where. An interesting tidbit I came upon was that there are more than 200 Amish window manufracturing facilities making over one million replacement windows a year. Some are mechanically fasten...

Is Schuco quiting the vinyl window business?
The local Four Seasons dealer is a friend of mine and he told me this aft that Schuco is going out of the vinyl window business. Any truth to this? He said Four Seasons plans on purchasing Schuco. Anyone know?

The series we use from Milgard is called the Tuscany, to find out more I would call the Milgard corporate and find out what they can ship to Utah. We get double sliders but as I mentioned they are built in Colo. Your local Milgard dealer should have the ability to get pretty much anything they make....

Setting the new window on the current sill and insulating underneath is very adequate. A sill expander comes with the window which snaps into place and covers the insulation under the window. Using foam makes it more stable and extra wood is not necessary. BTW, Milgard also has Super Spacer. Most of...

Anything Simonton makes is better than the Alside Excalibur. I'm not advocating you go with the other guy, it's just quality control at Alside will never reach the level of Simonton. If you check previous post on the board there are many talking about WW. The big comcern is always the quality of the...

I hope it's a big tax break. I've dealt with the Historical Society locally and the biggest mistake you can make is taking the first nickel from them. At that point they own you and dictate how any work will be performed. We used Marvin windows for our delema and they were beautifull and everyone wa...

I find it interesting but not shocking that Schuco has a few flaws, I don't know a window company that doesn't. Obviously insiderinfo is far more familiar with some of the things going on with Schuco than some of their dealers. I've only seen a couple of their sliders but both customers were very ha...
